It started out in the 1980's, with Nathan as a young child, introducing himself and speaking with anyone who would give him the time. His mother said that Nathan would find all of the alone people he could and bring them back to their table. Nathan wanted to know what made people tick, both successful and not.
Nathan remembers it as him trying to understand why some people were the way they were and others were a different way. Why some people went to the pub with many people and some people went alone. Why some people were wealthy and others were poor. It was this that started his fascination with why people are the way they are that resulted in the creation of Art of Gaslighting.
It hasn't been an easy road to create Art of Gaslighting. To create the world first book on how to gaslight people was a challenge. To create programs teaching people how to gaslight so they can be free of gaslighting elicits negative responses from some. To make a difference to something that so many people see as a negative, to have people and organisations see the opportunity of gaslighting, has been a challenge. And its all been worth it.
Gaslighting as a subject is triggering for many people. It elicits a fight or flight response like few things can. To deal with the impacts of gaslighting, we must discover what triggers us and be able to deal with those triggers effectively.
Our goal is to be the World’s Foremost Authority on Gaslighting and Gaslighting Technology. We have been studying and documenting gaslighting for over 4 decades and will continue to develop programs and education around gaslighting and gaslighting technology.
